Q: “Im still in skool, but i wanna compete, can I cum to the rodeo? “

A: Once you have learnt basic grammer, and attended an institute of Higher Education you too will eligible to enter the main events. However, until then, you can only compete with the oldies (or young guns) in the Open category. The main events are open to Higher Education Students only (i.e. University Students - over 18s). However there the Open category is open to paddlers of all ages.

Q: “I am crap at paddling, can I compete anyway?”

A: Of course you can!! There are novice, intermediate and expert categories, designed to allow newbies to compete against each other and win cool prizes. However for safety reason all paddlers must be of BCU 3* standard and comply to HPP Course Code of Practice. It is up the each University to ensure that their entrants are of adequate ability.

Q: “Am I going to be sick from the water at HPP?”
A: “You will probably feel very sick after the weekend, but that will have more to do with the alcohol you consume rather than the water. If you swim, close your mouth.”

Q: “Is Dickie Chrims going to win far too many prizes?”
A: Who knows ?
